Robots have become a vital part of these technological advancements. It’s important to keep in mind that robots not designed to replace humans, but to assist healthcare workers and make their jobs easier and more efficient.
From handling simple hospital logistics, like delivering medicine from the pharmacy to the clinic, to guiding complex surgical procedures.
As featured in the BusinessWise documentary, the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) has been using Brain Navi’s surgical navigation robot NaoTrac, to assist patients with brain biopsies.
According to Dr. Younes himself, NaoTrac has been able to help doctors to perform brain biopsies faster, easier, safer, and with better precision compared to traditional methods.
NaoTrac was first installed at Erasmus Medical Center on July 5, 2024. It was a historic milestone for both Brain Navi and Erasmus Medical Center, marking our first successful clinical case in the Netherlands as well.
Coincidentally, it happened a few months after Brain Navi was just celebrating our 100th case with NaoTrac.
In the near future, we hope that NaoTrac can continue to help surgeons and improve neurosurgeries across an even broader range of neurosurgical procedures.
